Hi, my name is Jon Paul, I’m a Plastics Colour Consultant based in Melbourne, Australia.

I have worked for organic, and inorganic, pigment manufacturers for more years than I care to remember. I spent much of my time colouring plastics, especially polyolefins, via all the usual routes… dry colour, compound, liquid colour, and of course, masterbatch.

In the mid 80’s I was the Technical Director at Blythe Colours Australia.  Wanting a new challenge, I left Blythe and set up Vibron Pty Ltd to manufacture, and supply colour to the plastics industry. I enjoyed the autonomy of running my own business for several years. But all good things must come to an end. I sold the physical part of my business to one of the large colour companies. Thus Vibron became a consulting company with its only product intellectual property, and myself as the sole employee.

As a consultant I have helped both colour suppliers and plastics converters. I am not affiliated with any company, and offer impartial assistance and advice. I have helped to consolidate, rationalise and streamline raw materials inventories for company mergers. I have also helped manufacturers organise successful colour tenders, control inventory, and comply with food safety and toy regulations.

I have lectured on colouring plastics at the RMIT, PIA, SPE, and international trade shows. The bulk of this site contains a condensed extract from some of those lectures.
